Zero commission models

I also feel there is so much opportunity in building Indian alternatives for the popular software. Even though initially the user base is very low, we need to keep them under the hood till their time comes. ex: arattai.

We can leverage the open source tech, gather veteran tech people who are no longer running behind money. We can even run the app non profit. if it is scaling, let the government give the funds for greater good. if VC steps in. then it becomes another business for profit.

zero commission models are disrupting industries. to give few examples, namma yatri against ola, uber meesho against flipkart, amazon nobroker against competitors

people are asked to design whatsapp, swiggy, netfilx in interviews. I know these engineers are capable enough to building the next zero commission swiggy/zomato, urban clap or even new that digitises the agricultural marketplace in India. Hope they get the courage to take the leap.
