Courage to fail (simply research)
I saw a great podcast by manish gupta and mukesh bansal.
My takeaways are:
- Focus on root node problems
- There is so much to do in AI as we only touched the low hanging fruit (textual data). As we explore more advanced data, the more we achieve.
- Many Indian companies or even people don't like to fail. Hence they play safe games. Solving only known problems. Resulting in no break through. Fortunately, the deep space domain in India is going in the right direction. Deep tech and others should get inspired from them. And invest in Research.
- There is talent but no ambition. IT companies won't win in the long run by providing billable work. They should build stuff.
- Preventive healthcare is needed to transform sick care into true health care.
- The scope of AI in education, agriculture, health care is bright.
- Finally, greedy search in career will not lead to optimal solution in most cases.
